Cataphysics


The scope of this website is broad and its claims are bold, but the theories are simple and the reasoning clear. Albert Einstein once said, "If you can't explain your theory to a child, then you don't understand it yourself." To anyone embarking on an understanding of Quantum Physics, Relativity, Relativistic Quantum Mechanics, Quantum Field Theory and theories to do with Quantum Gravity, it is clear that what awaits them is an uphill battle. They can expect to encounter such bewildering terms as "Sesquilinear Hermitian Operators", opaque descriptors like "SU(2)" and "SO(3)" and, of course, the bizarre nature of the Quantum World, which has been proven by experiment to exist.

But how many of us actually understand this? To quote another celebrated physicist, Richard Feynman, "Anyone who says they understand Quantum Mechanics, doesn't really understand it." As funny as this statement is, it belies a very serious fact about the state of Modern Physics. No one really understands what is going on at the Quantum level. Of course, we have our theories and our experiments, but to date no one has been able to unify Albert Einstein's conception of gravity and the discrete quantisation of the quantum fields.

Have we missed something? Is there a more parsimonious way to go about our investigations. I believe there is and this website attempts to prove that what physics, and by extension mathematics, has been lacking is fundamental understanding of what numbers and number systems are really all about.
